I don't know about you but I feel a huge sense of hope about this spring. Will it be the same as years past? Nope, but I am determined to find some familiarity for my family as we do our best to emerge out of this year-long lockdown and fear.
As a Moore County family photographer, I have been lucky enough to hear about lots of great Moore County family events from my amazing clients. Here are the three favorite events that we won't miss this year!
April 24: Springfest in Downtown Southern Pines: Locals know this is the best kick off to spring in Moore County. Bike races, kids games, and amazing vendors, there is no better way to enjoy this spring weather (bye pollen!) than Southern Pines' Spring Fest. I am excited this year to be offering a pop up of fine art children's portraits in front of Piggy and Co during their Spring Fest block party.
May 30: Sandhills Motoring Festival: My husband is a fanatical car guy but even I can appreciate a beautiful car when I see one. This festival was cancelled last year and was a major bummer to our family as we really enjoyed this car show in 2019. Unlike the monthly cars and coffee in the Pinehurst Village, this car show features rows and rows and rows (did I mention rows?) of the fanciest cars you may ever lay your eyes on! Bring water, this one is a hot!
Every Saturday: Pinehurst or Southern Pines Farmers Markets: A weekly family tradition, you'll always find us at one of the local farmers markets stocking up on local fruits, veggies, flowers, and more. The area Farmers Markets are a great way to expose your children to various types of produce while meeting some amazing local farmers. We give my kiddos a small amount of money each week to purchase their own produce and practice their money and purchasing skills.
